This, the first app in the series, is short and is intended to introduce the character Luca Lashes. The series follows the exploits of "Luca Lashes, the Brown-eyed Boy with the Magic Eyelashes," as he discovers the world around him and experiences his "firsts" in life. The app features interactivity (touch, sight, & sound), parent suggestions, a relatable character and is written for children in the 0-4 year range. By using some of the real sounds associated with each first, these experiences are brought to life through literature. Each version can be read in one of four languages, which also helps reinforce multilingualism! Read it in English, and then switch to Spanish!

To promote reading in young children, individual words are highlighted as the story is read. Luca Lashes aims to promote literacy by combining the original text with terrific artwork and audio, each providing entertainment and interactive learning opportunities. It's never too early to fall in love with language!
